Doodles last appearance was on Little House on the Prairie in 1974. He was related to Pat Weaver the former president of NBC and was the uncle of Sigourney Weaver. His later life was sad in the fact that in January of 1983, Winstead "Doodles" Weaver was found in his Burbank California home dead from a self inflicted gunshot wound. There was no suicide note but recent diary entries at the time indicated that Doodles had many health problems that caused him to take his own life, alcohol seemed to be a great factor in his downfall. Up to the end he was always super to his fans, he even allowed his phone number to be published in the Burbank phone book.
